About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Presales Solution Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in driving our sales efforts by providing technical expertise and support to our sales representatives, showcasing our solutions to prospects and clients, and leading the solutioning and pricing process for engagements. The Presales Solution Architect will collaborate closely with our Account Executives (AEs) to develop compelling proposals and Statements of Work (SOWs), ensuring alignment between client requirements and our service offerings. Additionally, this role will be responsible for facilitating a seamless transition of technical information to our delivery team post-sale and working with AEs to identify opportunities for upselling and account expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for sales representatives by offering technical guidance/expertise during client interactions and presentation and assisting in articulating the technical value proposition of our solutions to address client needs and challenges
- Participate in sales calls and meetings to demonstrate our technical capabilities and answer client questions
- Lead the solutioning process for engagements, working closely with sales reps and solution architects to design comprehensive solutions that meet client objectives
- Develop pricing strategies and models for proposed solutions, ensuring competitiveness and profitability
- Collaborate on Proposal Development: Assist in crafting compelling narratives and value propositions that resonate with clients and differentiate us from competitors
- Work directly with AEs to co-build Statements of Work (SOWs) that accurately capture project scope, deliverables, timelines, and pricing. Ensure SOWs align with proposed solutions and client expectations, mitigating risks and addressing potential challenges.
- Provide a seamless transition of technical information and requirements post-sale to the delivery team. Ensuring clear and comprehensive documentation of client expectations, solution designs, and technical considerations.
- Partner with AEs to identify opportunities for account expansion and upselling based on client needs and business objectives
- Provide technical insights and recommendations to support ongoing client relationships and drive revenue growth
About The Candidate
You are passionate about technology, enjoy collaborating with sales teams, and have a knack for designing innovative solutions. You have direct, practical experience in delivering solutions to globally known clients, maintaining communication channels to ensure excellence, innovation, and achievement of project goals.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- 3+ years AWS sales partnership experience
- 7-10+ years of experience in presales, solution architecture, or technical sales roles, preferably in the IT services or consulting industry
- Strong technical background with expertise in one or more relevant technologies (e.g., cloud computing, software development, data analytics)
- Proven ability to translate client requirements into comprehensive technical solutions, including solution design and pricing
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Proven experience in creating slide decks and customer presentations that effectively convey complex technical concepts and business value
- Strategic thinker with a customer-focused mindset and a track record of driving successful sales outcomes
- Collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively across multiple stakeholders and functions
- Results-oriented with a strong drive for achieving targets and delivering high-quality solutions
- Proficiency in Salesforce or other CRM tools is a plus
- Experience with supply chain and food service technical sales preferred
- Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings and presentations
