About the Role

 

Artisan Studios is seeking an experienced Principal Solutions Architect to develop pre-sales solutions for our prospective and current customers. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud technologies, particularly AWS, and the ability to design and architect complex solutions tailored to customer needs.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and architect scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions using AWS services
  • Collaborate with sales teams to develop technical strategies for client engagements
  • Create and present compelling technical presentations to influence customer stakeholders
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship within the solutions architecture team
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and their potential impact on client solutions
  • Work closely with engineering teams to ensure solution feasibility and implementation

Technical Requirements

  • Extensive experience with AWS services, including but not limited to:
    • Amazon EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, DynamoDB, Lambda, and ECS
    • AWS CloudFormation for infrastructure as code
    • Amazon CloudWatch for monitoring and observability
    • AWS Well-Architected Framework
  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Knowledge of serverless architectures and microservices
  • Deep knowledge of Generative AI technology and solutions
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
  • Understanding of network architectures and security best practices
  • Experience with UX/UI and associated design methodologies
  • Ability to develop rapid prototypes and/or proof of concept(s)

About the Candidate

The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and interpersonal skills. They will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with diverse teams, and driving innovative solutions for our clients using cutting-edge AWS technologies and best practices in cloud architecture.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in solution architecture, with a strong focus on AWS technologies
  • 5 + years of experience of pre-sales technical roles within professional services
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent visual presentation skills
  • Strong ability to influence and persuade at all levels of an organization
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional certification

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Experience with multiple cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, GCP)
  • Additional AWS certifications (e.g., DevOps Engineer, Security Specialty)
  • Knowledge of full-stack development technologies and methodologies
  • Experience working within AWS partner ecosphere
  • Experience with two or more industry verticals
  • Contributions to open-source projects or technical publications
  • Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages:
    1. Python
    2. Java
    3. Go (Golang)
